Problem is that, because there are so many mods, sorting through what does and doesn't have a plugin is a massive pain. However, I'm led to believe that it's *not* something that's tied to a plugin as I've tried entering the area with no plugins enabled and *still* get the error, so it must be something that doesn't use a plugin. The problem is finding out which one, because i have no idea what's currently loading in that area. Which, from looking online, tells me that it might be a corrupt texture. The only indicator of what's going on is that Buffout 4 *does* give me the 2dTexture error. I tried using Buffout 4, and the crash turns out to be something that Buffout 4 doesn't log. Something in that vicinity (between the estate and a large orange truck) causes a CTD I've tried disabling every Plugin and it still crashed, I've tried making a new save with every plugin disabled and it *still* crashed. I get that Vortex can sometimes mess up installing or downloading things, but that's all the more reason to NOT put everything you can in one collection and then telling the users to sort it out themselves.Īs for the CTD issue i'm having, it consistently occurs a little bit east of the Westing Estate (the place where you get signed baseball stuff for Moe). If I wanted to do that, then I'd be installing mods one by one on my own and not using a collection.Īdditional context: The collection gave consistent immersion breaking issues (like blood "rain" effect when i get splattered with blood, or the animations for picking things up/interacting with objects being clunky and sometimes inconsistent to use), some mods requiring specific optional files on their mod page that aren't included in the collection, leaving the mods feeling like they have incomplete installation, other mods seemingly having direct conflicts with each other (distinctly recall not seeing centaurs despite centaurs being in the collection, for example, and it's likely due to there being what, 1-3 other mods that affect super mutant hounds?), and other issues that aren't totally gamebreaking (aside from my CTD, which i'll explain in a moment) but are still a nuisance for something that's supposed to work right out of the gate. Personally, I think that one of the changelogs basically saying "we're getting close to the mod limit, so it's on you to sort what you do and dont want" is completely backwards of the intention of collections to begin with. I *think* it's a corrupted texture, which might not necessarily be the fault of the collection, but it's a corrupted texture that otherwise probably wouldn't be there if there was just a *little* bit of restraint put into which mods get included in the collection. Heck, even now I'm trying to fix a CTD that consistently occurs every time I enter a certain area. I want to like the collection, or at least be able to recommend it, but I can't bring myself to do the latter. The amount of troubleshooting, fixing, and mod removal I'm needing to do for this is kinda ridiculous.
